First printing of Stegner's autobiographical recollection of his boyhood in southern Saskatchewan, where his family homesteaded from 1914 to 1920. A VG+ copy in brown cloth with tight spine and mapped endpapers; interior is clean and bright with no internal markings other than a gift inscription. Mylar-protected DJ has some shelf wear and chipping, including one ½" chip at the top of the spine; DJ is not price-clipped but the $5.95 price is crossed out in pen.
