About the Author:
Pat Bussard is the founder of The Ghost Writers, a team of paranormal investigators. Part of the mission of the team is to help preserve stories of paranormal significance, so that they are not lost over time (www.hauntedwriters.com). As a former journalist, as well as an author, her published works have woven words between the covers and across the pages of magazines, books and newspapers. Her column HAUNTED AMERICA was a regular feature in Ghost Voices Magazine, the premier magazine in the U.K. focusing on ghosts and haunting activity. She also writes a column for The Loafer, an arts and entertainment magazine. Her column titled WEIRD WORLD, focuses on the people and issues impacting the world (or the other world) of the paranormal. She also wrote for Haunted Times Magazine, where her column, THE EVIDENCE LOCKER, covered investigations at historic and interesting haunted locations across the country. In addition to the hundreds of nonfiction articles and stories published under her byline, she is also gaining a reputation as a successful horror fiction author. She's had a number of stories published, most recently, "Dining with the Dead," which recently appeared in Witches Brew, from Wicked East Press. As fond as she is of the written word, she is in demand as a paranormal conference speaker. She recently presented at The Great Appalachian Spook Show in McConnelsville, OH, and VA ParaQuest, in Lynchburg, VA, and ScareFest, Lexington, KY, among others. Pat is also an avid photographer whose works have graced the covers of dark fiction and literary magazines. Her recent cover photographs include: "Stairs in Haunted Mansion," which appeared on the cover of Pedestal Magazine, for the February/March 2012 edition; "Danger: Do Not Enter," Screaming Midnight; and, "Moonlite Theatre Closed" appeared on the cover of the February 2013 edition of Twisted Dreams Magazine.
