About the Author:
Robert O?Shea is a senior lecturer in psychology at the University of Otago, New Zealand, where he has taught since 1988. Prior to that he taught at Dalhousie University, Northwestern University, Queen?s University (Canada), and the University of Queensland, having received his PhD from the University of Queensland in 1983. He has published extensively in major psychology and neuroscience journals. His research is on visual perception, especially binocular vision, perception in the real world, depth perception, peripheral vision, and movement perception. He has taken study leaves at Dartmouth College, Harvard University, and the University of Rochester. Dr O?Shea has been an associate editor of Perception & Psychophysics, a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the coordinator of the 2004 Australasian Experimental Psychology Conference.

Dr Simon Moss is an adjunct senior lecturer at Monash University. His primary research interest revolves around how characteristics of societies and organizations can be improved to improve human nature, enhancing resilience, intuition, development, honesty, and motivation. He is the author of several books, including "The Negative Side of Positive Thinking", "Sustainable Coaching", and "Success at University: What they haven’t told you". He is also the author of psycholopedia, an internet encyclopaedia dedicated to psychology. He often provides commentary on radio or TV about the psychology of work.

Dr Wendy McKenzie is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology, Psychiatry and Psychological Medicine at Monash University. Wendy has many years experience teaching undergraduate psychology, mostly in the areas of cognitive psychology, research skills and report writing. Her main research interests are in the areas of human memory and teaching and learning in higher education, in particular the use of educational technology.
