Much has changed since the first edition that came out in 1994. Today's nonprofit managers must juggle many responsibilities, including meeting the changing needs of the community, securing the funding to make ends meet, and responding to the often conflicting demands of founders, clientele, staff, and trustees. This new edition of the core volume in the widely respected Mission-Based Management Series has been expanded to provide a comprehensive plan for successfully meeting all of these challenges, all the while remaining true to the overall mission of the organization.
