About the Author

About the Editor Dr. David I. Cleland is the Ernest E. Roth Professor and Professor of Engineering Management at the University of Pittsburgh, and a Fellow of the Project Management Institute (PMI). He is often described as the "Father of Project Management" and is the only two–time recipient of PMI’s Outstanding Contribution to Project Management Award. Some of Cleland’s other books include Project Management: Strategic Design and Implementation, 2/e McGraw–Hill, Inc. (1988). The Strategic Management of Teams, John Wiley & Sons, (1996), and the Project Management Casebook, Project Management Institute. (1997).
