The story of an idyllic but eventful summer on and around the flower farm at Minack. From summer storms to cliffside picnics this book conjures up the sights, sounds and smells of a beautiful summer a long time ago. This is the seventh book in the Minack Chronicles, which collectively tell the story of how Derek and Jeannie Tangye left behind their London home to establish a clifftop flower farm on the coast of Cornwall. From inauspicious beginnings, the couple gradually settled in, and the books go on to cover many tales of their beloved animals, including Hubert the gull, Monty the ginger cat, Boris the duck, Penny the donkey and many others.

About the Author
DEREK TANGYE wrote over 20 books, mainly about his life in Cornwall. There he lived in a simple cottage with his wife Jeannie, surrounded b their favourite animals. In later life they bought the fields beside their cottage, which now form the Minack Chronicles Nature Reserve.
