Boards have some light rubbing at the edges and the book has a spine lean. Lettering on spine very bright. Page edges slightly browned with some scattered spotting. Previous owner's book plate to the front free endpaper which also has a little surface marking and a small tear in the top edge which has been stuck to the top of the pastedown during the production process - the rear free endpaper has a similar but larger small surface tear. Pages otherwise clean and unmarked. Jacket has been price-clipped and repriced by the publisher and has some edge rubbing and slight fading to the spine. This edition has the original boards design - red with the black title panel on the spine with gilt lettering but the book is about 1cm narrower than the original edition and earlier reprints. Boards have light rubbing at the edges. The gilt lettering on the spine is very bright. Very slight dustiness to the top edges of the pages. Previous owner's book plate to the front pastedown but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has a little fading to the spine and slight browning around the edges of the rear panel.
