Kruger's Alp is "a satirical fantasy of extraordinary invention and power built around the legends, the people and the political realities of South Africa. The novel is the story of priestly renegade Theodore Blanchaille and his search for the missing millions of the old Boer leader Paul Kruger, and his lost city of gold.
