About the Author:

One stormy night the talent thief crept into a dream Alex Williams was having in his home in deepest Cornwall. He demanded that Alex write this book, or whatever genius he had for storytelling would be taken from him. The result lies within. Alex hopes the talent thief is satisfied and will now leave him to his quiet life of movie watching, mountain biking and painting pictures (not of that scary talent thief).

After completing a foundation diploma in art and design at Falmouth School of Art, Alex went on to study film at Plymouth College of Art and Design. He is now a Best Writer BAFTA-award-winning children's TV and film screenwriter and author, living in Cornwall, England.

The Talent Thief was first published in the UK in October 2006 and was immediately optioned for a major motion picture. Alex is also the author of The Deep Freeze of Bartholomew Tullock.
