What does the Cat see at night?
What do cats do at night? I've always wondered and think children do too. I wrote and illustrated Only the Cat Saw as a way of answering that question. I set it on a Vermont farm and used one of my favorite cats, Nutkin, as a model. This book has two scenes that I had to fight for. One shows the little girl, Amy, sleepily visiting the bathroom in the middle of the night. The other shows Amy's mother breastfeeding baby Sam. The art is done using Acrylic paints on watercolor paper.
