This edition looks very close to the true first edition with some notable exceptions. Although the first edition, first printing plates were used, this edition has off white endpapers while the true first has black endpapers. The dustjacket on this edition has no price and the letters on the spine are not raised like the true first. If you were unaware of these differences you could easily mistake this for a true first edition. The 1st novel in the Jack Reacher mystery/adventure series an ex-military policeman now roaming the USA. Winner of the 1998 Anthony and Barry awards for Best First Novel, finalist for the 1998 Macavity award for Best First novel and the 1998 Dilys Award.
