This book was written based on a true story! My husband and I have a bookstore. One day Mulligan, who was a real book store cat, jumped out the door and caught a pigeon and brought him into the store! It happened to be a very busy day and when the pigeon got loose, everyone went crazy as Mulligan chased the pigeon from one end of the store to the other! Pigeon-haters yelled "Get that pigeon!' and cat haters yelled, "Get that cat!" The true story has a happy ending though because one of the pigeon lovers caught the pigeon and let him go.
