An uplifting tale that truly sings out.

I want to write about Davey
Because now he's gone I can't get him out of my head.
Davey is the new boy - he has hole in his jumper and strange ideas in his head. Sam can't stand him; he thinks Davey's a first-class, grade A, top of the dung-heap moron. But when the two boys are thrown together, Sam finds Davey's eccentric way of looking at the world makes life seem a lot more exciting, until something terrible happens...
Told in verse, this story of an extraordinary friendship is beautiful, funny and sad.
'Few writers can sustain a plot as well as Malorie Blackman'
