Excerpt from The Book of Koheleth, Commonly Called Ecclesiastes: Considered in Relation to Modern Criticism, and to the Doctrines of Modern Pessimism, With a Critical and Grammatical Commentary and A; Revised Translation

We shall wait to see what new arguments will be adduced by that writer. But the intimation I have received on this point has made me indisposed prematurely to re-open a discussion, which for the present may be considered as closed.
