Robert D. Halpert, M.D., is Radiology division head and residency program director at Henry Ford Hospital and Medical Centers. A dedicated educator, Dr. Halpert was originally selected to lead this volume in the series because of his vast teaching experience and his recognized ability to communicate effectively. His experience as residency program director keeps him acutely aware of the needs of radiology residents, a perspective that drives the pedagogy ofthis book.
