Peter is a piglet who hates his spots and he tries everything to get rid of them. Throughout the year he lies in the the summer sun to fade them, rolls in the winter snow to freeze them, but nothing works. As he grows bigger his spots get bigger too. Then he meets a beautiful female pig and they have thirteen spotty piglets and Peter finally realises how beautiful spots can be.

The Spotty Pig is a lovely tale about being proud of how you are. Peter the spotty pig thinks his spots are ugly. He tries a myriad of different ways to remove his spots. All of these prove ineffective. However by the end of spring a new arrival to the farm convinces Peter that his spots are not as ugly as he thought!
