From 1978 to 1995 he wrote regularly for the paper on sports, reporting on the Olympic Games, cricket and football World Cups and several cricket Test series. Since 1995 he has been a sports columnist with The Daily Telegraph, specialising in sports business and politics. He has also written 17 books, including Keith Miller: A Cricketing Biography; All In A Day: A History of One-Day Cricket; and Maiden View: The Magic of Indian Cricket. He lives in London.
