Synopsis
Designed for adults and young adults inexperienced in English, the "Take" series covers the language needed for effective communication. The series runs from beginner to intermediate standard. Each unit focuses on one or two topics that relate directly to students' immediate communication needs, and the language presented - in a structural, functional or lexical context - is generated from the core topic and carefully integrated, so that it remains relevant to the content of the unit and is closely related to the next stage. The student's book contains 25 units, each of which provides approximately 3 hours class work. Every fifth unit is a consolidation unit which revises and extends the language already covered, presenting it in new contexts. Wordlists are included at each level.
