I pass crowds and city streets on the way to Grandma's house. I hear honks and toots and beeps on the way to Grandma's house. I watch lights and zooming trains. I spot birds and flying planes.
I see trucks and roadwork signs, and lots of boats with fishing lines. I count cows and woolly sheep on the way to Grandma's house, until I yawn and fall asleep on the way to Grandma's house.
But when I smell something sweet, I wave my hands - I know this street!
I love my Grandma's house!
A gorgeous account of one little girl's exciting journey to see her grandma - through the city and into the country and finally to her favourite place of all.

Odette lives in South Yarra with her husband, Ashley, and their two children, Paige and Hudson. She graduated from Swinburne University in 1994 with an Honours Degree in Graphic Design before starting her first job as an Art Director in an advertising agency. She left advertising after she had her first child and started to develop her picture book ideas.
Her design background influences her computer-illustrated graphic style and the colour palette she uses. She created Bud the Bilby and was inspired to write simple child-friendly stories about his adventures. These became her first two picture books with Penguin, both in the Puffin Baby series (Bud's Space Adventure and Bud's Pirate Adventure).
A note from the editor:
This is so child-focused and appealing. Its real strength is Odette's understanding of a child's perspective - the simple trips that seem huge to them and the adventure of looking out the window and seeing the world change around them.
