Since independence, India has seen several decades with their respective development, crisis, political and economic policies, and ofcourse some chronic divide between the rich and the poor. The writer rightly explains how a liberalized economy unfolded a plethora of opportunities for the masses, and how it not only creates a demanding middle class, but also empowers it to act like a pressure group which holds the political class accountable. It talks about the history of how India grew with all the problems, where it is currently and the future.
