Synopsis:
Field Marshal Montgomery's battleplan for Normandy, following the D-Day landings on 6 June 1944, remains one of the most controversial campaigns of the Second World War. About the Author:
Carlo D'Este was born in 1936 and served with distinction in the US Army from which he retired with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1978 to write this book.
