I must start this comment by explaining that my role as author is limited to the painting of the illustrations of Biologi of Flowers. But this illustrator's job made my world much more interesting, because the biologist Eigil Holm, the author of the book, took me touring the landscapes of Denmark, teaching me botany, latin names of the plants, and literally dipped me (running over a rather spongy wet bog) in the wonderful world of plants. The book shows the imagination the flowering plants has used to attract bees and other animals in their efforts to reproduce and spread the specie. I can recommend the book because of the entusiasm of the author, which has turned a textbook topic into a facinating tale of the wonders of evolution. The illustrations are among the best I have made, though they were painted more than 25 years ago, the young artist's first full scale illustrator's job
