About the Author:

Marguerite Poland, who lives in KwaZulu-Natal, wrote the acclaimed TRAIN TO DORINBULT in 1987 which was shortlisted for the CNA Literary Award. This was followed by her second novel SHADES, published in 1993 and shortlisted for the M-Net Fiction Award and has become a prescribed work for South African high school students.
