This book covers statistics topics with strong emphasis on regression, statistical inference, use of the computer in statistical analysis, and using statistics to make management decisions in the real world. Many of the exercises have marks which indicate whether the exercise should be done with hand computation methods, with a computer, or with a combination of both. There is an increased use of computer analysis, and a data diskette containing the data sets for the computer data base comes with each copy of the text.

An excellent resource to learn Statistics If you are looking for a no-nonsense book to learn Statistics in the context of Business & Management, look no further. This is an easy to understand book jam packed with real world examples and plenty of exercises. What I find most helpful is that book avoids mathematical proofs in favor of application; after all, the target audience are managers, not mathematicians. On a different note, I really don't know why all these reviews for a different book have popped up here. Strange. --Jason Macwan May 17, 2013
