Ivo Welch is Professor of Financial Economics at Brown University, a position he has held since 2004. He previously held the same appointment at UCLA's Anderson School of Management (from 1989 to 2000) and Yale University's School of Management (from 2000 to 2004). He received his BA in computer science in 1985 from Columbia University, and both his MBA (1989) and PhD (1991) in finance from the University of Chicago. His work has been featured in many academic journals, as well as the popular press.
