The importance of catalysis in society is comparable to a foundation stone. Society depends on catalysis and catalytic systems for its chemical products. Nonetheless, controllable catalytic processes are still in their infancy. A significant challenge is presented by the lack of tunable catalysts. By "borrowing" the inspired functionality from active biopolymers, the latest progress made in "smart" polymers and polymer materials is leading to promising solutions to the emerging field of tunable catalysts and controllable catalytic processes. The progress in smart polymer catalysts and tunable catalysis is triggering a revolutionary transition in the field of controlled catalytic processes, profoundly enriching our understanding of the concept of 'catalysis'.
Smart Polymer Catalysts and Tunable Catalysis describes the latest advances in smart polymer catalysts and tunable catalysis. It serves as a reference for scientists, students and researchers who are working in the fields of catalysis, chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, biotechnology, and nanotechnology.
Smart Polymer Catalysts and Tunable Catalysis provides a distinct, systematic and comprehensive body of knowledge in this field. It offers a compilation of essential knowledge with extensive potential social and commercial impacts.
