TOXSYS is a continuity product, with major new topics, subject areas, and analysis routines added semi-annually in various areas of environmental health and science. The core of the system contains a wealth of toxicological information on over 230,000 compounds, with exhaustive literature references to these compounds, as well as a compendium of data on a variety of toxic effects such as toxicity, carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, and chronic effects. All data are structured for ease of access. Bibliographical information from RTECS, CCRIS, and TOXLINE (from 1981 to current year) is integrated into the system for seamless referencing to over 1 million citations. In addition, a large endocrine disruptor sub-database gives exhaustive results on a wide range of studies on their effects.
