Professor Rashid is an internationally recognized leading teacher, author, and researcher in this field. Rashid is the author of the bestselling textbook for the undergraduate power electronics course (Power Electronics-Circuits, Devices, and Applications, 2nd ed., Prentice Hall, 1993, ISBN: 013678996X) as well as a successful professional tutorial published by the IEEE (Fundamentals of Power Electronics: A Self Study Course, IEEE Press, 1996, ISBN: 0780323084). Rashid is a registered professional engineer in Canada, a Fellow of the IEE (London), and has won the IEEE Outstanding Engineer award.
