These areas cover vulnerable customers and the Benefits Agency is conscious of the need to ensure that the service the customer receives is of an acceptable standard regardless of the customer's circumstances. This handbook has been produced to give guidance to offices on dealing with these claims. It offers guidance on good practice to improve the service offered and meet the declared objectives of the Customer Charter.
