Within the past two centuries the law has developed rules and standards to help the interactions of people in crowded communities. This study brings together the relevant Acts, Regulations and Orders into 75 subject areas, arranged alphabetically from abandoned vehicles to wildlife. It includes such contentious issues as: noise, hedges, planning permission, anti-social behaviour, and nuisance. The author has drawn on his experience as a police officer to provide a guide to the law that can be understood by the lay reader.
