The second of the seven volume series on Argyll published by the Royal Commision for Ancient & Historical Monuments in Scotland - the series, started in 1911 still covers less than half the land mass of Scotland - such is the attention to detail. Finely produced and illustrated. Book is fine and tight without marks or signatures and is apparently unused in the original stout cardboard box in which it was issued. D/w is priceclipped wirth a new price label (£45) attached alongside. It is clean and unfaded but there are two adjacent blind tears 2cm and 1 cm) on the top of the rear d/w where it has snagged when replaced carelessly in its case. See scans.
