About the Author:
Marina Warner's most recent novel is Indigo. Her previous novel, The Lost Father, was a Regional Winner of the Commonwealth Writer's Prize, Winner of the Macmillan Silver Pen Award, and shortlisted for the Booker Prize. She is a writer, critic and historian and besides two earlier novels, In A Dark Wood and The Skating Party, she is the author of three studies of mythology, Alone of All Her Sex: the Myth and Cult of the Virgin Mary, Joan of Arc: the Image of Female Heroism and Monuments and Maidens: the Allegory of the Female Form (Winner of the Fawcett Prize). Marina Warner lives in London with her husband, the painter John Dewe Matthews, and one son.
Synopsis:
