He prophesied the triumphs of Napoleon, the coming of Hitler, and the deaths of Marilyn Monroe and John F Kennedy, but no one has realized up until now Nostradamus' true gift: his prophecy and punditry on a game that was not invented in the sixteenth century but which he foresaw. Though French, Nostradamus shares our obsession with the English stars like David Beckham, Michael Owen and Teddy Sheringham. In his verses Nostradamus predicts their past and future glory on the football pitch. Review:
The greatest prophet of all time turns his powers on England's World Cup fortunes in 2002 - a humorous send-up of obsessions with football and prophecy.
About the Author:
Michel de Nostradame, more commonly known as Nostradamus, was born on December 14, 1503, in St. Remy de Provence. A clairvoyant who interpreted the visions he received using both astrology and astronomy, he can perhaps also, on the evidence of prophecies revealed in this book, be considered the inventor of the great game of football.
