But Crawford is far too modest when he says "this book is not about my life, it's about yours" because the driving force behind How High Can You Bounce? is Roger Crawford's own extraordinary experience. Born with 'ectrodactylism' a medical term for a physical condition affecting all four limbs, Crawford has both hands malformed, one foot with three toes, and the other leg under-developed and then amputated during infancy so that he could wear an artificial leg. From there on, however, Roger Crawford was determined to succeed. He captained his junior school tennis team, became a top college athlete and was later certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association. He went on to a career in motivational training, working with corporations throughout the USA and across the world, and he is now a leading motivational speaker.
A remarkable achievement, and How High Can You Bounce? is a distillation of Crawford's experiences. As well as being inspired by his own life, Crawford is inspired by the ordinary lives of others, those who, like him, have learnt to bounce back from hardship and spring to new and brilliant levels of achievement.--Lucas LoBlack
