He has written five previous books on motor racing, including The British Racing Hero, Designs on Victory and Mansell and Williams: The Challenge for the Championship. Born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, he now lives in Rochdale, Lancashire with his wife Sue and two daughters, Natalie and Kate.
