In 1967, she caused an international furor when she defected and became a naturalized citizen of the United States. Condition: The dust jacket shows signs of wear particularly to the head and tail of the spine and some corner bumps through to the underlying paper, small tear to the rear right corner approx. 1cmm long, rubbing and general wear to the bulk of the jacket. The hardback book is in very good condition showing only minor signs of shelf wear and corner bumps. the interior pages are crisp and bright with a good tight binding.
