About the Author:
Patrick Davis fought in Burma with the 4/8th Gurkha Rifles, and served in the Indian Army until 1947 when he returned to England to take a degree at Oxford. Since 1955 he has held a succession of posts in the London publishing and university worlds. He lives in Kent.
