Julie Hay has over 40 years extensive experience in industry, government and the public sector. She has been an ordinary employee, a supervisor, staff representative, safety representative, manager, trainer, internal and external consultant. Julie is currently Chief Executive of training consultancy A D International and Managing Director of Psychological Intelligence Ltd. She was a founder and the inaugural Chairperson of the Institute of Developmental Transactional Analysis and a past president of both the European and International TA associations. She now leads the International Centre for Developmental TA, through which she provides a range of TA qualifications in association with an international group of TA colleagues. Julie was also a Founding Director and President 2006-2008 of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council. Julie has post graduate qualifications in management and for research into leadership qualities, international accreditation as trainer/supervisor in organisational and educational applications of transactional analysis, and international trainer certification in neuro-linguistic programming. She is the author of numerous articles, audiotape sets and books, including Reflective Practice & Supervision for Coaches, Open University Press 2007, Transformational Mentoring McGraw-Hill 1995, Sherwood 1999, The Gower Assessment and Development Centre Gower 1996, an audiotape set and workbook for a complete NLP Practitioner programme, Sherwood 2001 plus Transactional Analysis for Coaches & Mentors, and Transactional Analysis for Consultants & Facilitators, both due for publication by Sherwood during 2009. Julie specialises in combining different approaches to provide innovative and tailored initiatives relating to organisational and individual transformation, culture change, teambuilding and relationship skills. She has much experience of working within and as a consultant to large organisations, of chairing multi-cultural board meetings and leading inter-organisational negotiations, and has been presenting workshops worldwide for over 25 years, having trained managers in North, South and Central America, Australia, India, the Far East and various European countries. She is noted for her ability to take complex theories and explain them in ways that are clear, practical and stimulating.
