From the Author:
If you're looking for a good book to help you with the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) exam, this book is for you. It covers the latest available exam objectives as of this writing, and it includes updates based on software included with Red Hat Linux 8.0.

Remember, there are three parts to the RHCE exam: Server Installation and Network Services Setup, Multiple Choice, and Debug. On the CD, there are two complete sample exams based on what is publicly known about the RHCE exam experience. Also available is an electronic copy of the book. You can get to both the sample exams and the e-book through your favorite Linux graphical Web browser or PDF reader. While the multiple choice test engine can only be installed through Microsoft Windows, that engine does not simulate the environment of the exam, and therefore can be ignored.

If you're serious about passing the RHCE exam, read this book. Practice installing and configuring Red Hat Linux. Work with scenarios that require you to debug a Linux computer. Practice installing and configuring Red Hat Linux network and user services. Practice again with different scenarios, until working with Red Hat Linux is second nature to you.

And finally, good luck!
