  • Book Description:
The original strategy for HURST’S THE HEART was to focus on patient care rather than the scientific aspect of the specialty. The new edition will continue to focus on the original intent. As the reviewers have indicated, the general organization of the current edition continues to be timely. The reviewers were hard pressed to recommend changes in content. The major critique related to the visual appeal of the book. The plan is to greatly expand use of tables, charts and figures so that reader can grasp information by reading or by simply looking at the summarized information. A new, internationally known editor has been added to expand and up-date electophysiology.

Because of the dynamic nature of the specialty approximately 1/3 of the chapters have been heavily revised or rewritten.
