The completely updated and revised edition of the book that the International In-Line Skating Association used to develop its own Level 1 Certification Program, Get Rolling is as essential to novice rollerbladers as a helmet and knee guards. Complemented by a wealth of instructive illustrations, a series of structured lessons and drills enables you to develop a skill fully before moving on. Miller also discusses physical requirements, safety, gear, and equipment maintenance. The book concludes with a list of additional resources.

Anyone taking up the sport, serious or not, should read Get Rolling.''From the Author:
The birth of Get Rolling
I'm gratified to see Amazon's readers are enjoying the benefits I wanted to share when I first "got rolling!" When I first started lurching around in 1991 on my new 'blades, I had to teach myself the moves. But being a compulsive analyzer (I'm a technical writer), I couldn't resist writing and publishing the very first edition of this book on my own, to get the word out that normal grown-ups really can do this! My 1998 edition has everything I learned in the five years since then, plus photos by my life-partner Dan (as requested by reviewer Zoe).
