About the Author:

Donna Van Wynsberghe is Professor and Chair of the Dept. of Biological Sciences at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She is the recipient of two Distinguished Teaching Awards. Her articles have appeared in various physiology journals, and she has previously authored case history and study manuals for undergraduate students. Dr. Van Wynsberghe is a member of several professional societies for physiology research and teaching, including the American Physiological Society (APS) and the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS), and she holds editorial positions in both these societies.
