Emmy award-winning television star Regis Philbin has entertained millions of Americans every weekday morning for the past 28 years hosting, in various incarnations, the popular show "Live with Regis and Kelly". Referred to often as the hardest working man in television, he has rubbed elbows and egos with countless personalities. His innate curiosity and wit has enabled him to learn great life lessons from the most legendary and formidable of them. Now in a most unique memoir, Regis shares all that these experiences have taught him about achieving success and happiness-and about maintaining both for as long as he has! It is the ultimate gift to his fans. From an awkward first meeting with Jack Nicholson to early encounters with a young Ronald Reagan and a shy, unknown, 18-year-old Steven Spielberg, Regis reveals the many influences that have shaped his life philosophy and career. Recounted here are stories about chance meetings, interactions, and full-blown adventures with Bing Crosby, Donald Trump, Don Rickles, Dave Letterman, Dean Martin, Johnny Carson, Jack Paar, Frank Leahy, Ara Parseghian, Lou Holt, Joe DiMaggio, Jerry Seinfeld, Cary Grant, Bill Cosby, Walter Winchell, John Severino (his most notorious and life-changing boss), Bill Rankin, Kiegler Flake, George Clooney, George Steinbrenner, Charles Grodin, Howard Stern, and others. Of course, there are also chapters devoted to his co-stars of many years, Kelly Ripa and Kathie Lee Gifford, and one that is nothing less than a moving love letter to his wife of 41 years, Joy Philbin. Invaluable advice closes each chapter with the trademark gratitude and humility that has made Regis Philbin such a national treasure. Inspiring anecdotes, laugh-out-loud tales, and awkward celebrity moments make this so much more than a memoir-it truly is Regis' personal guide to living a positive life. Marked by same tongue-in-cheek humor and candor Regis has always displayed, this book will serve and endure as a reminder of why America has related to and loved this one-of-a-kind television legend for so many decades.

About the Author:
REGIS PHILBIN is a cultural icon, having remained in front of the television camera for more than 50 years! Regis began his talk show career in San Diego at KOGO in October of 1961. He joined Joey Bishop as his sidekick in 1967, then on to AM Los Angeles, which went from the bottom to the top of the ratings for the 7 years it was on, 1974 through 1981. In 1983 he began his Live Show with Regis on WABC in NYC. He was joined by Kathie Lee in 1985, and the show was nationally syndicated in 1988. In 2001, Regis was joined by Kelly Ripa and the program entered yet another new era as Live! with Regis and Kelly. The show in its various incarnations has remained one of the most watched television shows in America. Regis's is the face millions of viewers have woken up to on weekday mornings for nearly three decades. Not only has he reigned supreme in daytime, but he also took his success to nighttime when he hosted the ABC juggernaut Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, its spinoff Super Millionaire, and later, NBC's America's Got Talent, as well as the CBS revival of Password: Million Dollar Password. In addition to hosting the red carpet arrivals at the 2008 Academy Awards for ABC, Regis has also hosted the 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Philbin is the proud recipient of four Emmy awards, a Lifetime Achievement award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, a Broadcasting and Cable Lifetime Achievement award, a TV Guide award as Personality of the Year, The Walter Camp Distinguished American Award at Yale University, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2006, Regis was inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame, and later that year was selected by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to be inducted into the Television Academy's Hall of Fame. Philbin is also the 2009 Guinness World Record holder for Most Hours on Camera, with now more than 16,600 cumulative hours under his belt. In addition to his success in the talk show and game show worlds, Regis is also a bestselling author. He has previously published two books of his own and two books with co-writer Kathie Lee Gifford. A native of New York City, he is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and received an honorary doctorate of law degree for his contributions to Notre Dame and the city of South Bend. Regis lives in New York and Connecticut with his lovely wife, Joy.

In this entertaining memoir, the irrepressible "Reege" - consummate talk show host, man about town, loving husband, father, and yes, obsessive sports fan-looks back at his years in show business. One of the most popular television and cultural icons ever, Regis Philbin entertained television audiences for more than fifty yearsas a beloved morning-show host (Live with Regis and Kelly), a nighttime game-show host (Who Wants to Be a Millionaire) and also as a fixture on national and local late-night talk shows.
