9780062084934: Revolt!: How to Defeat Obama and Repeal His Socialist Programs: A Patriot's Guide

President Obama's legislation has increased the federal government's massive, crippling debt - and resulted in a tidal wave of Republican victories in the 2010 midterm elections. Fueled by popular anger and a demand for fiscal responsibility, limited government, and strict constitutional constructionism, the people have voted for change. Now, it's time for Washington to listen, says Fox News commentator and GOP activist Dick Morris. The new Republican majority must repeal Obama's destructive policies - and Untitled offers a roadmap for their success. Morris and Eileen McGann provide a detailed analysis of the problems caused or worsened by the Obama administration's policies, including healthcare, cap and trade, and bank lending laws, and show how the threat of looming taxes has frozen consumer spending, job creation, business lending, and investment in health jobs, manufacturing, and energy - the keys to economic recovery. "Revolt" provides practical steps the Republicans can take to establish their conservative agenda and introduces the new class of political leaders who will be at the forefront of the fight to implement change. It propose a comprehensive reform agenda, including an end to legislative earmarks and lobbying by members' family and staff, ending private charitable foundations, prohibiting privately paid travel, barring relatives from serving on corporate boards or being paid from campaign or PAC funds, and other measures that are urgently needed to clean up Washington - and keep it clean.
