The real author
For those of you who aren't aware of how the Thoroughbred series is written, I am the person who was hired to write a story about Christina, Ashleigh's daughter. I'm so glad that this book has found some eventing enthusiasts. I event my ex-racehorse, Christopher Robin, whenever I can. I am sorry that this "second generation" of Thoroughbred books took so many readers by surprise. It must have felt terrible to be left up in the air about characters you have grown to love. I think that HarperCollins had been getting some feedback from readers who were tired of the same old plots and settings and who wanted to read books about kids instead of kids-turned-adults. I don't know who came up with the idea of eventing, but since I have had a lot of experience with the sport, I agreed to write a few of the books. I hope that you enjoy reading about Christina and Melanie and Dylan. Look for Parker, Brad Townsend's son, in book 33, Racing Parker. I think you'll like him, too.
