Drawing upon conversations with young Australians of both sexes, the book demonstrates that their sexuality is still expressed within traditional gender constraints and that sex education fails to address the links between gender and sexuality. It provides a framework for discussing the construction of gender and sexuality, examples of young people's attitudes and practice, an analysis of current sex education in Australia and practical strategies for change that will be of value in every country.
