Synopsis:
For the past several years the Bertelsmann Cartographic Institute has been collaborating with leading cartographers and geographers throughout the world to develop a revolutionary database of fully digitized maps that are without equal in their cartographic integrity and design elegance. The maps are detailed, accurate, realistic and informative. This edition is completely updated to reflect the latest political and geographical changes including: placing Hong Kong within China's boundaries; Zaire has become the Democratic Republic of Congo; Aruba is no longer part of the Dutch Antilles; Bombay (India) is now called Mumbai; and European route numbers have changed as part of the European Union.
