‘This is a fantastic resource with a range of really engaging texts for students of all abilities. The great strength of this resource is that it can be used by teachers for classes containing students entered for both Higher and Foundation tiers as the texts are thematically linked. From my personal experience I found that the teaching notes gave invaluable guidance in tackling examination style questions and that students readily engaged with the activities suggested. They particularly appreciated the Language toolkit and Key terms sections as it gave them something tangible for revision. Progress was easily assessed using the practice examination papers. The fact that there are different sets of papers following the style of each of the major examination boards means that these can be used either within class or as additional revision material for students. A really useful time saving resource for any department.’
