Georgia Foster and I have been running Slim By Suggestion courses for more than 2 years and it's our experience from the course participants and from our own weight issues that compelled us to write this book. It's full of real people's stories, and how by using the Slim By Suggestion techniques they were able to overcome them.

Our starting point is to explain why willpower won't work, if your mind has no successful memory or impression of 'dieting' or eating healthily then your mind will want you to remain as you are now, or even as you have been before, even if that is not what you consciously desire.
You will know if your unconscious mind has a different idea, because you will have experienced emotional turmoil and falling off your healthy eating programme. Sometimes you have been going along on your new healthier way, and all of a sudden you have the most powerful compulsions to eat/drink whatever you want. You may even find yourself in a giant binge! We know about eating the fridge then beating yourself up in a huge wave of misery and guilt. There is a reason for all of this behaviour.
