A simple picture book in brightly coloured crayon colour, depicting a colourful bus journey with the addition of a mathematical concept - children count the passengers taken on at every stop. The author also wrote "The Goodnight Book".

PreSchool-- In this very slight story, an old-fashioned red bus drives along the country road picking up children, a clown, and some animals, eventually arriving at school. Stylized illustrations are done in bright flat crayon with black outline. Shapes are simple and distinct but static and lacking in depth. The few words on each page are in large, hand-printed letters and consist of comments rather than a story, e.g., "Here's Charlie the clown," "Over the bridge we go," "Hello Teddy," etc. This could be used in toddler storytime, but it's not a first choice. --Nancy Kewish, Cuyahoga County Public Library, Cleveland
